Beautiful length — Hair Donation
I had decided to donate my hair last year. When I thought of this initially, it was very easy. But it took almost a year to finally do that.
Hair donation is for people fighting cancer who lose their hair due to chemotherapy. I was skeptical about hair donation. By donating hair, do we indicate that people are not beautiful without hair? Should we give that much importance to hair?
Of course, everyone is beautiful but why not give a choice to someone who wants it. And the smile that it puts on someone’s face is priceless.
I have donated 8 inches of my hair to an organization for children ‘Children with hair loss(CWHL)’.http://www.childrenwithhairloss.us/. If you would like to donate your hair, just follow the steps that are given on the website and send it through the post office.
There are some other organizations as well, like Locks of Love, Pantene Beautiful lengths in the US. If you are willing to donate 15 inches or more you can donate it to an Indian organization called Hair for Hope.
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. Lets all welcome 2016 with an act of kindness :)
